Somerset West | Real Estate Photography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a property that had me in awe from the moment I stepped foot inside. What stood out for me was the architecture and the stunning million-dollar view that the house offered. This location was truly unique as the house was situated on top of a hill that leads up to one of the most sought-after real estate locations in South Africa.

As I was photographing the property, I couldn't help but admire the history of the location and the amount of effort the homeowner put into decorating the house. The interior design, furniture, and layout of the kitchen were impeccable and added an extra touch of 'oomf' to the house.

When photographing the property, I wanted to capture every angle and corner to best represent the look and feel of the property. I had a specific shot list in my head, and I proposed specific shots that I knew would work. I treated the property as if it was a 20 million rand house, following my four-step process to capture the interior in the best possible way.

What I enjoyed most about this property was the homeowner's taste in furniture and how they styled the house. As a photographer, I always strive to showcase the unique features of a property, and this property had no shortage of those.

I split the shoot into two separate sessions, one in daylight and one in the evening to capture the stunning sunset and twilight views. The iconic photo of this property was undoubtedly the beautiful sunset and view that the house offered.

Overall, this property was a pleasure to photograph, and I was thrilled to capture its unique features in my images.
